How can we explore architectures relating to contemporary urgencies and domains connected to the Anthropocene and the Technosphere? Can collective research methods focusing on agency of emerging phenomena and technologies produce new architectural and cultural models?  Dr. Corneel Cannaerts and Michiel Helbig are running the fieldstation studio, a Design Studio at the KU Leuven Faculty of Architecture. They will feature research from the past three years highlighting the studio’s experiments.

Their presentation will set the stage for a Y-Table discussion moderated Christophe Barlieb and Lidia Gasperoni of fieldstations e.V. The association promotes research about the Anthropocene – the new geological age in which human activity has become one of the most dominant influences upon the transformational processes of the earth.
