Awarding, lecture and talk: 05.09.2019, 6 pm

For their commitment to social and sustainable architecture, Anne Lacaton and Jean-Philippe Vassal (Lacaton & Vassal, Paris) will be awarded honorary membership in the Association of German Architects (BDA) by Heiner Farwick, BDA President.

The work of the Parisian architecture team is characterized by the preservation of existing neighborhoods, the creation of luxurious spatial offerings on minimal budgets, and ecological commitment. Thanks to simple, sensible, and clever interventions, the duo succeeds in creating affordable housing of high architectural quality.

Lacaton and Vassal’s talk “Inhabiting, Pleasure and Luxury for Everyone,” will be followed by a conversation about their work with Matthias Böttger, DAZ. The evening is part of our series “We need to talk!” and will be held in English.
